About Us
Astarte Industries is at the forefront of tactical shooter game development, and we are on the lookout for a Unreal Engine Developer/Programmer to join our passionate team. Our current project, Bellum, is a First-Person Military Tactical Shooter set in the near future, designed to push the boundaries of realism and immersive gameplay.
Role Overview
As a Unreal Engine Developer at Astarte Industries, you will play a critical role in the development of Bellum. You will work closely with our senior developers, designers, and artists to implement gameplay features, optimize performance, and contribute to the overall success of the project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful impact on a high-profile title.
Key Responsibilities
Gameplay Development:
- • Implement gameplay systems and features using Unreal Engine and C++.
- • Collaborate with designers and artists to ensure that gameplay systems meet the project’s creative and technical goals.
- • Identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring a smooth gameplay experience.
- • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following established coding standards.
Collaboration & Support:
- • Work closely with senior developers to integrate new features and improvements.
- • Assist in performance optimization for PC.
- • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- • Contribute to the improvement of development processes and practices.
Requirements
Experience:
- • 2-4 years of experience as a game programmer.
- • Experience with Unreal Engine and C++.
- • Familiarity with game development stages: from prototyping to release.
- • Prior experience working on FPS titles is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- • Proficient in Unreal Engine and C++.
- • Understanding of game performance optimization techniques.
- • Experience with version control systems.
- • Knowledge of software engineering practices such as CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
Soft Skills:
- • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred (but not required):
- • Willingness to relocate to Scottsdale, AZ, relocation support will be provided.
