Welcome to our August newsletter!
As Bellum continues development, we wanted to make sure to keep our community informed of our progress, as well as our short and long term goals for the project. Moving forward, you can expect to see a monthly newsletter covering the most important details about the game, as well as our plans for it.
This month’s edition, we are showing off some new models, new animations, as well as terrain improvements to our first map, Highlands. Let’s dive in.
GP25 & M320 Grenade Launchers
As mentioned previously, each faction will have their own distinctive equipment and feel. We have been working hard to ensure that players can enjoy a different unique experience while playing against one another.
Grenade Launchers play a fundamental role in small unit tactics, providing quick responses to gaining fire superiority, suppressing an area, or simply masking player movement through different types of terrain.
In Bellum, each faction has access to a grenadier role.
- M320 for 75th Ranger Regiment
- GM94 for SATYR Group
- GP25 for al-Zalaam
Notably, we have taken the decision to include both versions of the GP25, something not commonly seen in other titles. Players will be able to choose how they want to make use of it in-game.
M3E1 Carl Gustaf & RPG-7
Following the same design philosophy, shoulder-fired rocket launchers are a core element of Bellum. Allowing players to engage enemy positions using a plethora of rounds such as HE, flechette, thermobaric, and anti-structure munitions.
With help from our in-house advisors, as well as feedback from our Founder Edition members, we’ve been able to refine these models to a point of completion, where quality remains a cornerstone for us.
Munitions
As mentioned before, Bellum will introduce different types of munitions, selectable independently through kit customization down the line. Which will allow players to choose their own options when thinking about kit flexibility and application.

Improved Animations
Bellum is still in a heavy state of work in progress, and as such we had recently updated our 3rd person animations. Even though we still have a long road ahead, and many more of them to improve, we want to show a few snippets of some recently reworked ones, as well as some upcoming ones for different weapons and equipment.
Terrain Improvements
Last but not least, Highlands continues to receive different sorts of improvements. From foliage, to terrain and environment. Level and environment have been two departments that have been truly giving their best to make for an increasingly immersive experience. We have been hard at work to expand and fill out more villages and locations around the map.
