BELLUM – Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how purchasers of BELLUM (“Game”) may obtain a refund. It forms part of the Terms of Service between you and Astarte Industries Inc. (“Astarte,” “we,” “our”).


1. Eligibility Windows

Pre-order (before your Access Stage unlocks) Anytime Full refund upon request.
Pre-order (within 96 hours after your Access Stage unlocks) 96 hours Full refund for any reason.
Open-beta purchases (including pre-orders carried forward) 96 hours from purchase Full refund for any reason.
Repeat Refunds At our sole discretion We may refuse refunds to accounts with prior refunded purchases to prevent abuse.

Refunds are requested through our customer support (or a future payment processor we designate). Our customer support may be contacted at [email protected], or through our Bellum Discord server at https://discord.gg/playbellum. Fraud, charge-back abuse, or violation of these Terms voids refund eligibility.

“Access Stage” means the first moment you are granted the right to download or play a specific build (e.g., closed-alpha, closed-beta, or open beta).


2. How to Request a Refund

  1. Locate your receipt email.
  2. Provide the Order ID, the email used at checkout, and a brief reason (optional).
  3. Astarte will review and respond within 5 business days.
  4. If approved, Astarte issues the refund to the original payment method. Processing times vary by bank or card network (typically 3-10 business days).

3. Restrictions & Exceptions

  • Repeat Refunds: We may refuse additional refunds on accounts with prior refunded purchases to prevent abuse.
  • Fraud or Charge-back Abuse: Evidence of fraud, payment disputes, or charge-back history voids refund eligibility.
  • Bans & ToS Violations: Accounts permanently banned for cheating, harassment, or other Terms violations are not eligible for refunds.
  • Region-Locked Purchases: Using VPNs, proxies, or other means to evade regional pricing will forfeit refund rights.
  • Gift Keys: Unredeemed gift keys follow the original purchaser’s refund window. Redeemed keys are refundable only to the original purchaser and within the normal windows.
  • Force Majeure: Refunds may be delayed or suspended during events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., payment-network outages).

4. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights provided by law:

  • EU / UK: Under Directive 2011/83/EU and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, digital content is exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right once the download or streaming begins. Our voluntary windows above meet or exceed these requirements.
  • Australia: Refunds are available for major failures under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • California & Other U.S. States: State-specific cooling-off periods or automatic refund rights apply where legally required.

5. Currency & Fees

  • Refunds are issued in the same currency and via the same payment method used for purchase.
  • Any foreign-exchange differences, bank fees, or card-issuer charges are outside Astarte’s control and are not reimbursed.
  • Shipping costs do not apply (digital product).

6. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Refund Policy. Material changes will be announced via email or in-launcher notice at least 48 hours before taking effect. Continued purchase or play after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
