Bellum Beta Build #755
Bellum Beta Build #755 is now live on main branch.

Bellum Beta Build #755
Everything since Build 752.
Changes
Gameplay
- Spawn-camp protection: you take no damage within 100 m of your own team’s base, in staging and the live round. Medical treatment still works there, and dying inside that radius doesn’t cost a life.
- Highlands (AO1-AO7) and Tsavo (AO2-AO7): every spawn now sits 700 m outside its objective’s zone. (decreased from 1km)
- Exploitation: when a cache is destroyed, al-Zalaam loses 20% of the influence win line. (testing)
- Patrol bases now have crossloading removed, but resupply is now once every 20 minutes.
- Bandaging uses the patient’s bandages first, so a medic with none can still treat a patient who has some.
- Seeding and dynamic AO matches keep the mortar roles closed.
Gunplay
- With the bipod legs out but not planted, muzzle climb is 10% and sway 5% higher.
- Reaching for the radio dips the weapon down-left, and regripping lifts it back, with 65% smaller rebounds. It settles in 0.7 s going in and 0.4 s on regrip.
- Enfield: staged round-by-round reload. Cancelling keeps the rounds already loaded, up to 10 in the magazine and chamber.
- RPK animations fixed, bipod would flicker out on firemode select.
- Character and weapon models are darker in shade, since the new lighting made kit look too bright.
Mortars
- Each round’s muzzle speed now varies slightly (1%), so long-range rounds spread out instead of all landing within about 2 m. Range cards are unchanged.
- Mortar rounds can be crossloaded from the J menu. After handing over any two-handed item, you go back to your primary.
- Leaving a mortar emplacement puts your primary weapon back in your hands.
- Mortar explosions have added debris, ricochets and punch.
Medical Wheel (H)
- Restyled to match the other radial wheels, with the patient’s name above it and blood level as a glow in from the rim.
- Redrawn bleed, wound, tourniquet, blood bag and mouse icons.
B-TAK & Watch
- While aiming down sights, the watch heading follows your weapon, so the bearing matches where rounds go (was up to 3° off). The heading digits read true (they showed one degree low).
- Your squad’s markers on the B-TAK match the watch (rank chevrons and role icons), and hovering one shows the player’s name.
- The Layers panel closes when a tasking question box opens, so the box’s squad buttons take clicks again.
- New B-TAK handling sounds.
- Deployment screen CROSSLOAD tiles keep their amber border.
Weapons & Maps
- Kambori: trees and shrubs draw further out, a new building in the large compound, prop fixes and a terrain seam fix.
- Tsavo: grass is back along the dam and in other bare spots.
Fixes
- Fixed the B-TAK freezing a few seconds after deploying (stuck cursor, dead controls).
- Fixed the medical wheel only selecting the head (seen on Build 753).
