We are pleased to announce Bellum’s Cadre Program.

What is the Cadre Program?

The Cadre Program is one of our forward thinking initiatives to help new players connect with knowledgeable veteran players about the game and its mechanics, so that they can more easily get into their first rounds in Bellum. Cadre and new players will meet one-on-one, or in small teams, to go over the game’s basic mechanics and features, explain various key concepts, and get them some hands-on experience in game to apply practical application to these skills.

I’m a new player: How do I get in touch with a Cadre? What does the process involve?

If you are new to Bellum and wish to reach out to a Cadre, simply head over to the #new_player channel in the Bellum Discord and ping @CADRE to set up a time to meet with them. Cadre will handle the rest. Additionally, if you opted in to receiving the @NEW PLAYER tag upon joining the Discord, Cadre may occasionally ping your role when they are setting up sessions.

Expect roughly an hour long session where Cadre will walk you through getting your game setup, go over the settings, join a server, and walk through the game’s “need to know” mechanics (controls, gamemodes, roles, and so on).

In the future, we also plan to expand the options for new players to get connected with Cadre by implementing systems on our website and launcher, and not just here through Discord.

I’m a veteran player and I want to become a Cadre: How do I reach out and apply?

At this time, as we are still piloting this program and working out the kinks, applications are closed. As such, Cadre are currently hand picked. That being said, we will be expanding this program in the future, and once we know exactly what the program needs and we are ready to start onboarding more Cadre, we will open up applications to the community with requirements to join.

The Bellum Field Manual

In addition to the Cadre Program we are also re-releasing The Bellum Field Manual.

This is the official manual for Bellum’s systems and practices: game modes, squad roles, factions, weapons and equipment, communication, medical care, spawning, movement, fire commands, and battle drills. Everything you need to know about the game is all contained within this manual, and this knowledge base will continue to grow as the game develops and expands.
